For the last 20 Years Jerry Bradshaw of Tarheel Canine Training, Inc. and his trainers have been conducting seminars both nationally and internationally for Police K9 Units, MWD Units - from traditional MP units to Special Operations Units - and sport enthusiasts interested in competition seminars for PSA. If you follow Jerry's podcast, you can get a feel for the quality of the material that is taught at these seminars. Jerry and his team of seasoned instructors provide a unique seminar experience based on years of experience working thousands of dogs.
Many trainers that are travelling and doing seminars now are no longer actively working dogs, and this should be a concern if you are counting on up to date instruction. Times change and techniques must adapt. You deserve to be getting the most up to date and progressive instruction available from instructors that are currently training police and military working dogs, as well as sport dogs. Jerry is heavily involved in all the day to day tracking, detection, and controlled aggression training currently going on at Tarheel Canine as he supervises all the training programs. He is directly is in charge of all the training of Dual Purpose/ Narcotics Detection K9s and Personal Protection K9s being trained at TK9. For the past 25 years he has also been a national level competitor in Schutzhund and PSA winning 2 National Championships in the last 4 years.
Street Ready K9 Seminars has a number of associate instructors that have either been employed by Jerry at Tarheel Canine or are former employees, so both the material in the seminar and the quality of the instructors have been thoroughly vetted. Some of these instructors have personal specialties that make them unique presenters to have work with your agency or club, and you can request the availability of a particular instructor.
